It is a brass catch bag that attaches to the rifle to catch the ejected cases and keep them from falling and getting lost.

The AR-15 Brass Catcher attaches to the forearm of each AR with velcro and catches ejected cases. It prevents cases from scattering around your shooting range and prevents hot brass from landing on the shooter or anyone near the shooter. A wire frame holds the fabric in the correct shape and allows the sleeves to drop into the bag without disturbing the bolt function or breaking the cycle. The Caldwell AR-15 Brass Catcher catches and holds approximately 30 rounds and has a convenient zippered bottom mesh pouch making emptying quick and easy.
