The EOTECH 552 NV is a holographic reflex sight with NV ( Night Vision) switching, which is specially designed for night vision viewing. Previously, such systems were only available for government and military applications. Certain models of EOTech are still reserved for the U.S. military only. Fortunately, at least the EOTech 512, 552, XPS and EXPS military models have received approval for the civilian market. First and foremost, the Holographic Sights were designed for rapid target acquisition and accurate shot placement, keyword driven hunting. The combination of the large sight window and a narrow frame allows simultaneous aiming with both eyes without loss of field of view.
The 552 can be used in combination with head mounted night vision goggles or night vision monoculars as the only legal night target solution in Germany. (As of 19.4.04, weapons and hunting laws must be observed).
A total of 30 brightness levels can be set on the 552, 10 of which are barely or not at all visible to the human eye and can only be seen through a night vision device. Mounts on 1 (25.4mm) Picatinny (MIL-STD-1913) rail. Compatible with GEN 1-4 night vision devices.
